Healthy Competition for Health
Okay, you all know that I hate competition. I'm about the least competitive person I know (at least when it comes to team sports, etc. But, I've always savored a personal challenge. And that's what this Mikkelsen Family Fitness Challenge is all about.
No matter what our ages or current fitness levels, we could all use a little kick in the pants to be more active. Not only will increased activity help us keep our hearts healthy, but exercise will also relieve stress, improve mood, and burn calories!
So, enough lecturing. Let's get off our duffs and start walking (or whatever type of exercise you want to substitute.) The goal is 10000 steps 5 days a week. That's about 5 miles a day X 5 = 25 miles a week.
